Internet Connectivity
IIITM-K is connected to the National Knowledge Network (NKN) with high-speed connectivity of 100 Mbps. In short period it will be upgraded to 1 Gbps, The classrooms and library are having WiFi coverage.We are also having a BSNL 10 Mbps standby connectivity under NMIECT.

Data Center
IIITM-K is facilitated with copious laboratories (Central Computing Facility, Agri-Informatics laboratory, Multimedia laboratory etc.) hosting more than 350 desktop machines. All desktops are dual boot and connected to LAN. The staff members and students benefit from the Campus wide WiFi connectivity. The Data center at IIITM-K hosts more than 40 high-end blade servers with the storage capacity of more than 50 Terra Byte of data with RAID 5. It runs Linux, Windows, and Sun servers. Among the catching amenities include the project web portals, IIITM-K portal, applications such as MOODLE, wiki, digital library, and video streaming server. Data center hosts a cloud computing facility with two high-end HP Proliant server and four Workstations, which has a capacity of 10 Terra Byte of data storage and a Cluster computing facility for research activities.
