Dr Natarajan Ishwaran holds a doctoral degree in Fisheries & Wildlife from Michigan State University, USA. He completed his undergraduation in Zoology and postgraduation in Ecology from Sri Lanka.
Between 1986 and 2012, Dr Natarajan Ishwaran has been working in UNESCO international cooperation initiatives on World Natural Heritage and Ecology and Earth Sciences. Since 2012, he is engaged in international relations work with Chinese S&T Centers on remote sensing and agricultural environments and ecosystems. Currently Dr Natarajan is the Executive Director, Deep-time Digital Earth (DDE), an IUGS Big Science initiative committed to data-driven discovery in geosciences.
