IIITM-K is located amidst the serene and lush green landscape of Technopark Campus in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum). The construction of new full-fledged campus of IIITM-K  is progressing in Technocity, Trivandrum.

The Technopark is the IT hub of the State of Kerala. Renowned as the country’s first IT Park and the one of the largest one in India in terms of built up space, Technopark is reputed as one among the world’s greenest Technopolis. Often referred to as one of Asia’s Best IT parks, Technopark was established in 1990. Today, it houses a workforce that consists of over 50000 personnel, employed in more than 350 companies on the campus. Technopark is extensively laid out across a massive 760 acres of land, with 9.33 million sq. ft. of completed built up space and 3.5 million sq. ft. space where work is currently in progress. Some of the biggest names in IT like Infosys, UST Global, TCS, Allianz Cornhill, Oracle, IBS Software, Accenture, Envestnet, D+H , QUEST,Tata Elxsi, Aegis Software, Suntec Business Solutions, RR Donnelly, Toonz Animation, Ernst & Young and Speridian Technologies, Navigant to name a few, have set up office at Technopark. The campus also is abode to several CMMI Level 5, CMMI Level 3 and ISO 9001:2008 certified companies.

The Technopark is on the National Highway (NH 47) to Ernakulam, adjacent to the University of Kerala’s Kariavattom Campus and is about 8 Kms from the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Situated on the National Highway, regular bus services link Technopark with commercial Centers, research institutions and other urban centers.

Railway Stations

Thiruvananthapuram Central: The Technopark is 15Km away from the Thiruvanthapuram Central Railway Station. You can reach Technopark from the railway station by taking a bus from the KSRTC Bus stand at Thampanoor, which is exactly opposite to the railway station. Your destination is Kazhakkoottam. From Kazhakkoottam, you can easily get autorikshaws to Technopark. The distance is approximately 1km. The taxi fare from the railway station to Technopark is around INR 500.

Kochuveli Railway Station (8.8 km): Kochuveli Station is a terminal station for some long-distance trains. If you are coming from Kochuveli railway station, you can take an autorikshaw to Technopark. The autofare is around INR 150.

Kazhakoottom Railway station: Kazhakkoottam is the nearest Station from Technopark, about 1km from the main gate. From Kazhakkoottam railway station autorikshaws are easily available to Technopark.
