Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala IIITMK is an autonomous premier educational institution established by Government of Kerala in the year 2000. IIITMK is a multidisciplinary premier postgraduate institute conforming to the needs of building capacity at advanced levels of Computer Science and IT by realizing the dreams of students for higher knowledge with great emphasis in Science and Technology. Located in the majestic Technopark Campus in Trivandrum, IIITMK has an enviable academic ambience. The institute offers, post-graduate programmes such as MSc Computer Science with various specialisations, MPhil, Ph.D and PG Diploma in E-Governance.

Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII), Rubber Board in collaboration with National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (NBSS & LUP), ICAR undertook a detailed survey of rubber growing soils of South India with an objective to bring the entire rubber area in the country within the ambit of soil test based fertilizer recommendation.
Soil samples were also collected using core samplers to determine the gravel content. Location coordinates of sites of soil samples were recorded by GPS.
Mannu (Mobile Application on Mannu )
Soil and Land information are basic requirements for sustainable agricultural development. Farmers need basic soil nutrient information. Department of Soil Survey & Soil Conservation, Government of Kerala, has come out with an innovative mobile application in collaboration with Geo-informatics division of IIITM-K.
The mobile application on mannu (soils) – MAM (Mannine Ariyaam Mobileiloode) gives the required soil information to the farmers with a single touch. There is no need of any data entry. The application fetches the nutrient information pertaining to the current location of the device. Information of the major & micro nutrients and the acidity available in the database of the department will be available to the farmer.

Client Application for Spatial Decision Support System for Disease Mapping, Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Kerala. Designed and Implemented by Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management – Kerala
This application is currently meant only for the officials of Department of Animal Husbandry and is not available for public.
PLANSPACE – MLASDF
This application is intended for the mapping of field level physical progress of various projects and works implemented by Govt. of Kerala using the MLA Special Development Fund at each Legislative Assembly Constituencies in the state of Kerala. This App will collect various details of the work/project like geo-referenced photographs, audio narration about the progress of the work etc. The Application is developed as part of PLANSPACE project initiated by Kerala State Planning Board, Govt. of Kerala and the system has been conceptualized, designed and implemented by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala (IIITM-K). This Application is currently targeted for Department level officials under Govt. of Kerala and not intended for public use. Access to this Application is through secured authentication process.
