PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

Suresh Paul, Joseph was born in Cochin, India on Feb 29, 1964. After graduation in Electrical Engineering with distinction from Calicut University (1987), he pursued masters and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in the area of Biomedical signal processing. He completed post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, and subsequently took up faculty positions at the National University of Singapore and the University of New South Wales, Sydney. His current research focuses on image restoration and enhancement with applications to sparse MRI. Paul is a recipient of the SERC award 2004 (Singapore) and holds a joint patent on fabrication of an optical MEMS microprobe for neuro-surgical application. He is a member of IEEE Engineering in Biology and Medicine Society, and currently serving as Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kerala, India
