Introduction
Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala in association with Dept. of Computer Science, College of Engineering Trivandrum is organizing a one day event called Corona : Sun University Day. The agenda of the event are:
In this event Students and Teachers will be introduced to the latest open source Operating System and Software Development Kits by Sun Microsystems. Also straight from the oven of Sun Labs, we will discuss the amazing Sun SPOT kit (Small Programmable Object Technology) and view cool demos. Topics will be discussed in deep with full interaction between participants and the Sun Engineer. Lookout for the schedule. There is No Registration Fee. Sun will give Certificates and Solaris Starter DVD Kits to all the participants. Also some goodies like Sun T-Shirts, caps, pens etc will be given during the event.

- 09:00 - 09:45 AM - Registration
- 09:45 - 10:00 AM - Welcome
- 10:00 - 11:00 AM - Introduction to Open Solaris and Installation .
- 11:00 - 12:30 PM - Introduction to Open Solaris features like ZFS, Dtrace, Zones etc
- 12:30 - 01:30 PM - Lunch Break
- 01:30 - 03:00 PM - Development tools ( Netbeans, Sun Studio)
- 03:00 - 04:00 PM - Demo on Sun SPOTs
Note : For lunch you can go to CET campus canteen or the nearby restaurants, but need to pay for yourself.

- There is no registration fee. But the seats are limited (200), so register as soon as possible.
