Computer Science is at the foundation of today's information technology revolution. At its abstract core, computer science is concerned with building models about computation, designing languages to accurately specify these models, and crafting programs to run on computers.
On the first day of this two-day lecture series and workshop, internationally renowned computer science researchers and educators present their views of languages, models, and programs in computing.
In the morning session of the second day, speakers share their experience on how teaching computer science and IT can be made more effective by (a) bringing out connections between computer science and related disciplines, and (b) using innovative methods and tools for teaching computer science, computational science and IT.
The post lunch session of the second day will continue on the morning theme with an open discussion of how computer science curriculum should be restructured so that its connection to other sciences and engineering is brought out in a more effective way.
Who should attend
Scientists, college and university teachers in all areas of technical education, researchers, students, IT professionals.
