PGDIT 2007-09 Batch students of IIITM-K Now Preparing For their Placement Activities. Students gather here to set their goal and make footprints in their career.Now we are ready to achieve placement in well reputed IT organization in India
The IIITMK developed a placement cell which will help students in their career planning, preparation for selection tests and final placements. The IIITMK has strong contacts and effective communication links with many prominent IT Industries and business organizations. The placement cell will take all out effort to match students career aspirations with the requirements of these organizations. Reputed companies are expected to visit our campus for the recruitment from August 2008
The students of IIITMK represent all walks of life. The students are drawn from diverse cultural, academic and professional backgrounds.There are 15 students in our class. They are selected through an all India Entrance test. Students from all over India are here for this course. The right mix of freshers and experienced folks picked from the topmost corporate houses and the interchange between them gives fresh insights to one and all. Academically, the interaction among this diverse batch leads to the custom essay writer heightening of the learning experience and the proliferation of the personality,critical in today�s globalised economy. The PGDIT programme is the main academic activity of IIITM-K. The PGDIT Programme at IITM-K is a demanding and intensive programme. It aims at developing information systems, man power of high quality, to cater the needs of industry, R & D, and educational institutions. It may please be noted, however, that an expert committee reviews the courses and syllabus regularly to tune the same according to changing needs of industry and R&D organizations and, therefore, the curriculum is improved frequently.It is a judicious blend of 'technomanagement' courses giving appropriate emphasis technology and management

Guide line for Placement Activities

The placement policy guidelines prevailing currently are as under:
For students
- Campus recruitment is meant only for the Students of Final year (and the pass out students if they are eligible).
- The Objective of the placement cell is to provide one job for all its registered student("One Person One Job" rule is applicable)
- Whenever a Dream Company visits the campus all students having one Non Dream Job can appear for that.(Only one dream company)
- The Placement Process would commence from the first week of July 2008.
- If a student gets offer from more than one company (different categories), then he/she must inform the companies about the job offer he/she wishes to accept, through the Placement Cell before completing his/her graduation.
For companys
- Every company is given the status of Dream** or Non-Dream company by the Placement cell.The Training and Placement Cell allots a date to the company as per the ranking by the Placement cell. The company is ranked on the basis of following parameters:
- Job profile and growth prospects.
- The package being offered by the company.
- Past record of recruitment at IIITM-K
- Feedback from the students regarding the company
- During the placement session, more than one company visits the campus on a particular day, so a company may be asked either for an On the Spot offer or End of the Day Offer procedure. Regarding this, the company will be informed beforehand.
- The company will be provided a slot and schedule to conduct the process. To avoid logistics problem, it is requested that everything should start on time.
- In case of discrepancy, Final Decision will be on the discretion of Professor and Coordinator, Training and Placement Cell, IIITM-K
- Dream Company: - Companies will be given the status of Dream Company on the basis of following parameters:
- Job profile and growth prospects.
- The package being offered by the company.
- Past record of recruitment at IIITM-K
- Feedback from the students regarding the company
All other companies will be given the status of Non Dream Company.
