Every day people experience the Information Society. Interconnected networks are touching our everyday lives, at home and at work. However, they also provide an avenue for malicious attackers to negate our privacy and alter our information. Network and Information Security has emerged as a fundamental aspect of Information and Communication Technologies. Hence, raising awareness and understanding on the issues involved in network and information security is of supreme importance.


The Summer School on Network and Information Security (NIS’13) aims at providing a forum for experts in Information Security as well as members of the research and academic community, to interact on cutting-edge and ground breaking topics in Network and Information Security. NIS’13 is organized by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management –Kerala (IIITM-K) in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and ACM Trivandrum Chapter.



Faculty members from institutions approved by AICTE & UGC and individuals working in industry or R&D organisations are eligible to attend this programme. Full time research scholars are also eligible.


Seats are limited to 40 participants. The interested persons have to apply online on or before April 10, 2013 at http://www.iiitmk.ac.in/nis2013/register.php

The short listed candidates will be informed through e-mail by April 12, 2013. Only shortlisted candidates need to pay the registration fee. The DD should be taken in favour of The Director, IIITM-K payable at Trivandrum.
