With the tremendous increase of data in the cyber world, traditional security methods are being replaced with machine learning approaches. However, machine learning based techniques need expertise to predict threats and anomalies from enormous amount of data generated in the cyberspace. The workshop on Machine Learning for Cybersecurity (MLC '18) aims to explore the recent developments in the area of cyber security to impart safe and secure cyber experience with the applications of machine learning. MLC’18 seeks to provide a platform for researchers and professionals to address challenges and furnishes them with opportunities to learn and apply machine learning and deep learning models in the area of cybersecurity. The workshop will include talks by experts in the field and hands-on sessions. The workshop is organized by the Center for Research and Innovation in Cyber Threat Resilience (CRICTR), Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management - Kerala (IIITM-K) in association with ACM Trivandrum Professional Chapter and IEEE Communication Society Kerala Chapter. MLC'18 will be held at IIITM-K, Technopark, Trivandrum on December 17-19, 2018.
